reading classic lit for an assignment: i read a page. a minute has passed. i read another page. an hour has passed. i spend the day trying to read one chapter and only once i’ve finished do i realize i understood none of it. 0/10
To be honest, I didn’t really like Boys over Flowers …or at least not as much as I liked Hana Yori Dango. However, this pairing was the only reason why I kept watching. Regardless of how cute Yuki’s crush on Soujiro was, Ga Eul’s and Yi Jung’s story really captivated me. It’s not like many other stories where the boy/girls falls in love with someone at first sight. Sure, Ga Eul found him handsome when he entered the restaurant, but as soon as he talked with her about Jan Di and Goo Jun Pyo, she started arguing with him. Both had different ideas of love and never hesitated to disagree with the other one, if he/she didn’t think like that. In addition, their feelings for each other were explained. I know that love sometimes happens and doesn’t need a plausible explanations but you can see that it wasn’t out of the blue ;)
“After meeting you, there’s only been one thing I wish for you to be happy and no cry anymore. I’m afraid that after tomorrow, you won’t be able to smile again.” -Boys Over Flowers
